I have always wanted to attend a heavy equipment show. In fact, I was just talking about it with some friends yesterday that as amazing as SEMA is, the big mining show that they have in Las Vegas must be crazy as well because of all the equipment that gets displayed, demonstrated, etc. Hey, there are plenty of demos at SEMA but they are usually of cool stuff like fuel pumps and other parts. Yes there’s drifting outside and all but in terms of “in booth” demonstrations, it just is not that kind of a show.
Apparently wherever this video was taken WAS that kind of a show because you are going to see a guy drive what looks like one piece of a massive modular flat deck machine for moving stuff straight into the office of their display and nearly right through the other side.
Companies pay massive sums to be at these shows and on top of that there’s the cost for building the whole display, the costs for transporting the machine to the place, the cost of assembling it, and the list goes on. The idea here is to sell a few of them and you can only sell them when you get people into an office and sit them down to run through the numbers. Driving the rig you are trying to sell through the office is both hilarious and very counterproductive.
This could have been a real nightmare. Thankfully it seems as though it was only a minor nightmare because no one was hurt to killed. Think this guy still has a job?!
