More Covette
so the old shelf was this size
still haven't decided whether I'll just fiberglass these boards or make aluminum.... tomorrow's decision
radiator mount
I recommend you roll some beads/ribs into the new rear section. That's a fairly large piece of metal with relatively minimal support, it will flex and drum/rattle. The beads/ribs will stiffen it up nicely.

there are ones already there - all of the panels have bends in them along the edge. I may put more decorative rolls on them, but once they're glued and fiberglassed; they're not going anywhere. My camera sometimes takes a picture but doesn't store it... which means that the time I spent fitting either edge doesn't exist. I'll try to remember to take a picture of that before I glue them all down.Everything but the center door is going to be permanently attached. I have plenty of room under the car for access - and adhering the panels will seal the cabin better
In news, I ordered different accessory brackets for the motor. I need to move the power steering pump up to clear the rack, then it interferes with the alternator... so I'll move it to the other side... hopefully that stuff arrives next week.
Onward
air cleaners... I sure have a bunch of options... and another on its way.. i really, really, really don't want to cut on the hood... and I think I can get away without it... crossing fingers
radiator
first step is rebuilding the bracket
then melting stuff
then more welding
and more test fitting
closer
now bolted in place... still need to do something about the ends to make them pretty, but it's functional now
hood pins
the line (dark) is where the pin needs to be
now it is
other side
need to finish that up... it's becoming warm enough that I may be able to glue panels in place tomorrow... once that dries then epoxy the holes up... the coat the floor with sound deadener...
bleh, wiring. I'm working the same stuff on my car...

Aaron - you could do the sir filter like I did the Volvo - using a blower hat and remote filter element. Super low clearance required and it seems to work fine.
