I think Dale is waiting for past participants to book before opening it up to the rest of our Bangshift friends.

Found this wire bolted to battery of the SS when I removed it for winter storage. Bolts in pic are from the +/- terminals of the battery. Wire was tucked up into fender. Absolutely nothing else anywhere near that location so must be for some type of electronic tool. Has 3amp inline fuse.

Youtube says it may be possible to repair the copper line on the gauge. It's worth a shot anyway.

Thank you & the others who replied too The guy I bought the truck from wasn’t aware the wire was there. My battery tender has simple pinch clamps & no inline fuse so I didn’t recognize that it could be related to that.

Rodents ruined the sender on my temp gauge. Went to see what a new one cost. $80 or more. The ones I have came with the dash I bought used several years ago except for the speedometer and gas gauge. Only paid $200 for the whole works. Its a sport comp I think 2 5/8". I could go cheaper and get auto gage or summit/jegs with a similar black face. My fitech has a temp reading but it is intake temp and the gauge is in the head. Could just wait for swap meet season next year. Click image for larger version
