We have to thank BangShifter Joseph Keane for tipping us off to this incredible ad featuring 175 old Impalas for sale in what appears to be a junkyard in Oklahoma. The Impalas range in age from 1959 to 1973 and as you will see, there are a number of different cars at the place as well. The cars are on sale starting at $2,000 with the earlier and harder to find models starting at $4,000.

None of these cars are in “drive it away” shape but there sure seems to be come good steel here. We love Impalas in all of their glorious forms from the big square cars of the 1950s to the beautiful late 1960s fastbacks, to the humongous barges of the 1970s and they are all represented here. Judging by all the stuff growing on these cars, they have been in the woods for quite a while. It looks like most of the cars have really nice glass in them and those windshields cannot be cheap to find.
So then there’s the golden question….are they worth it? Well, are they?
I guess most of them will end up in Scandinavia..There are even clapped out 4 door shells without engines and interiors being restored back to road worthy condition.
Or they’ll be sent to East L.A. where a team of skilled mechanics will give them glitter paint jobs, and make them hop.
At least the seller has a good sense of humor.
Looking at this junk makes me want a Prius or better yet, a bus pass.
Little wonder the hobby is declining and soon will be dead.
