When it comes to good ideas, building a pro street car with a factory style paint job, all the factory chrome, a vinyl roof, steel wheels with dog dis hubcaps, and a blown big block is a good idea. We’re currently dreaming over this incredibly well done 1968 Dart that has run 10.00 at the drags and is motivated by a 500ci supercharged big block wedge engine.
The pro street world was formerly populated by a load of cars that kind of looked the part but did not really go anywhere. Ok, fine. The pro street world may still be populated with a majority of cars like that but we’re not talking about the poseurs, we’re talking about the real deal haulers here and this is one. Before you decide to toll with some comment about a stock bottom end LS being able to go as fast, stuff it. You’re right on paper but there is still something to be said for cars like this that use the belt driven intake manifold and huge by large meats out back.
Here’s an excerpt from the ad talking about the good stuff that this car is packed with –
440 block, 500″ stroker, INDY heads, TTI headers, MSD ignition, Dyers 871 blower, aluminum cell, trunk mounted battery, 12 point cage, alston ladder bars, back half frame, New moser 9″ just installed, 727 trans built with cheetah valve body w/ brake, aluminum dash insert w/ all autometer gauges, Magnumforce front suspension, wilwood discs all around. The list goes on and on.
Sweet and he’s right – much more invested I’m sure
I wouldn’t change a thing… unless it needed safety equipment or more traction!
Brutal, simple , perfect!
