We’re normally pretty good with this type of information but we were pretty surprised to learn that all the Force girls—Ashley, Brittany, and Courtney (excluding John’s oldest daughter who does not race)—are driving nitromethane powered vehicles now. Of course we knew Ashley was kicking ass last season in the nitro Funny Car, but we thought at least one of her younger sisters was still toiling in Super Comp. We were wrong, they’re all on nitro!
Courtney is a senior at Cal State Fullerton and will be starting her second season in the A/Fuel digger. Courtney won in Seattle last year and had a runner up finish at the Auto Club Finals last November. Courtney is the youngest of the female racing triumverate and we think it’s bitchin’ she and Brittany are following in the footsteps of their big sister. How wild would it be to see two sisters racing each other in Funny Cars?
Courtney will make the first official pass for team Force on the 2011 NHRA trail when qualifying starts for the 50th Winternationals on Thursday. Brittany will also be racing at this event. There’s no word as to whether they’d run side by side in qualifying or not.
Three sisters, all racing nitro-swilling monsters, who’d a thunk it?!
