Australian Guy Drives For 50 Years Without a License, Then Gets Busted

Life is a funny thing. We have friends who had their licenses taken due to um, agressive driving and got caught about thirty seconds after they decided to slip behind the wheel before getting it back. That’s in sharp contrast to an Australian man who drove for 50 years before Johnny Law caught up to him.

Honestly, we think that qualifies him for a pass on the driving exam. It seems that the authorities down under think differently as he is to face the judge on October 5th. See the story from the Sydney Morning Herald here.

The tory also includes a bit about street racing involving so-called “P-platers”. As it turns out, an Aussie “P-plate” is a license plate that has the letter P displayed prominently, letting the world know that you are a recently licensed or “Probationally licensed” driver. Getting caught street racing with a P-plate on does not seem like a good way to get your driving career off to a start. Learn all about the system here.
