Now this is something cool and different! Lots of 1960s Mustangs get done in Trans-Am trim, but this is the first we have seen done to look like a competitor in NASCARs oft forgotten GT series which featured pony cars on the high banks. The short lived series was meant to keep some of the hot spotlight that Trans-Am was taking on NASCAR.
This car was built with the intention of creating a period correct replica of what would have been found on the high banks of NASCAR courses across America as a warm up act for the “big boys” of the Grand National series. We think that the car is totally boss and from the lone shot of the engine bay, looks to have been a high quality build. This baby looks like it stepped right out of the late 1960s!
Having been done for 10 years, the seller claims that it has been raced sparingly over the years, listing the mileage as just 100. One cool thing the seller states in the ad is that there are “creatively engineered” pieces of the car that he’ll share with the new owner upon purchase.
This thing would rule for open track and vintage racing days. We want!
