The Spectre Performance booth was busier than all Hell last week at SEMA. The Speed by Spectre streamliner was on prominent display as was the huge display trailer…still connected to the big rig! The products that really caught our eye were the new hardcore airboxes that racers and owners of hard core street machines will dig for both stylistic and performance related reasons.
Of the four on display, the most eye-catching for us was the cowl induction box that mimics of the 1960s Chevy style units that were found on Z-11 drag cars and Z/28 Camaros most notably. The “air tray” style box will be popular with racers and street machiners who are running a cowl scoop and are looking to keep underhood head at bay. The dual snorkle piece would look factory correct on just about any muscle car ever built and the round open filter tray is another that is sure to find home under the hoods of many a race car.
Info on the products will be available shortly on SpectrePerformance.com — until then, oogle these photos!
