Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, one of the most fabled and respected high performance car builders in the nation has announced that they will host the Lingenfelter Performance Nationals on September 21-23, 2012 at Summit Raceway Park in Norwalk, Ohio. The Norwalk facility is one of the finest strips in the country but the event is far more than just a drag race. It will consist of the drags, an autocross, a brake stop challenge, car show, cruise, and manufacturer’s midway.

The event will also serve as a qualifier for the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational a Pro Touring slugfest held the weekend following the SEMA show each year. There are lots of dedicated LPE customers out there and hundreds, if not thousands of cars that have LPE parts or tuning helping them to run harder and faster so this event should be an absolute riot.

LINGENFELTER ANNOUNCES NEW LINGENFELTER PERFORMANCE NATIONALS EVENT SEPT. 21-23, 2012 IN NORWALK, OHIO

DECATUR, Ind. – Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE), the engine specialists known for their racing expertise, is excited to announce a brand new event for customers and enthusiasts in 2012: The Lingenfelter Performance Nationals.
The Lingenfelter Performance Nationals is a jam-packed weekend that will feature drag racing, autocross, car show, speed stop challenge, countryside cruise and a manufacturer’s midway Sept. 21-23, 2012 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

With classes that level the playing field between professional and amateur drivers, the Lingenfelter Performance Nationals will offer drag racing, an invitation-only bracket race and a Battle of the Brands event that pits Ford, GM and Chrysler vehicles against one another. Trophies, plaques and cash prizes will be awarded to car show and race winners. The Lingenfelter Performance Nationals will also be an official qualifying event for the OPTIMA(r) Batteries Ultimate Street Car Invitational.
