If you have been a BangShift reader for any stretch of time, you recognize the name Joe Grippo. Joe’s a drag race and general gearhead fiend who hits a ton of events every year, with his camera in tow. He shares lots of photos with us and we love him for it. Joe’s weapon of choice on the strip is this crazed 1970 Mustang Mach 1 that sports bumper-stand power, and bitchin’ personal history that few vehicles have.
The car was Joe’s first and he bought it with his father as a veritable rolling heap. Through the years the Mustang has gone through changes, evolution, and the wick has been steadily getting turned up with each successive upgrade. Currently there are 408ci of stroked Windsor engine under the hood and a beefed, braked, Ford C4 transmission moving the power from front to back.
Hey, we’re not giving up the whole story here. You need to click the link to see Joe’s garage page and how neato this ‘Stang is. We were going to do a tutorial about how to make a great garage page, but Joe’s kicks so much ass, just do it like he did!
