Chad and I engaged in one of our frequent debates recently when discussing the upcoming weekend. What brought this on is the fact that Chad will be in Las Vegas live broadcasting the PSCA (Pacific Street Car Association) event which includes the NHRA Pre-Season Pro Stock Shootout, and I’ll be announcing the IHRA Nitro Jam event in Baton Rouge, LA which includes a full slate of Pro Mods. I think that Pro Mods are boss and nothing else with doors car touch them. Chad thinks that I am an ass-hat and that “everyone” knows that Pro Stock is the ruling category of door slammer drag racing. 

Pro Mods are now touching the five second zone with scary frequency, while Pro Stocks are into the 6.40s now, with this season’s early testing.

Settle the bet. Who’s badder? Naturally aspirated 500ci motors pulling 6.40s or blown, turbocharged, and nitrous injected Pro Modifieds running down in the fives.
