Today’s question is all about snap decision making. We want to know what one thing you’d change on your car this instant. No long protracted debate, no consideration for price, difficulty, or availability. We’re 100% sure that you lunatics are just like Chad and I in the fact that you have a mental list of parts and “wants” that is about three quarters of a mile long and remembering stuff off said list isn’t tough! If it isn’t something shiny and new you want, maybe its the repair to a problem you’ve been having. We’re thinking that the caR below (WHICH IS NOT OWNED BY BS, CHAD OR BRIAN) could benefit from some wiring improvements. Frankly, if I was posted the question I’d default to making repairs to the rear wheel well in Buford that I’ve been delaying for a year with no good reason. Although, if i had a couple of pops in me and I was experiencing a moment of clarity, I may mention the paint.
So what’s one thing you’d change on your car this instant? Paint? stance? wheel/tire combo? Horsepower? Wiring? You tell us!
BangShift Question Of The Day: What’s One Thing You’d Change About Your Car This Instant?
I would lower it … ALOT
Color change.
5 or 6 speed transmission swap
Fuel System…Pump, Filter and Lines.
I wanna make my S-70 into a mean rwd custom frame pro touring car. looks stock but packs a 600hp yamaha/volvo V-8. Just a dream for now though.
Fuel Injection
I want the dash lights to be completely dark if desired. Not dim, not barely on, not the radio light on…all of them, dark. Off. In ninja mode.
I like to drive at night with all the interior lights off. I know my speed from experience, and checking fuel and other stats can be done by bumping the light knob back up, but this particular car won’t allow that. They go very dim, but are still on. That’s not the point. Long desert drives are nice without dash lights and if anything goes too haywire a dash warning light will come on.
The dash light fuse is also the fuse for the entire dash workings so pulling it makes everything quit working. Grr.
bigger brakes, wheels and tires.
Fix the transmission leak.
Not a damn think, love it the way she is .
remove all of the yellow wires
that picture is exactly what i would change, my wiring! as much as i try to keep it neat, in short order it always ends up like a mass of psychotic spaghetti… one day i’ll have a perfect simple ultra-clean wiring setup like you see on well built race cars (a Racepak Smartwire would be a good start but eek on the $$$), but until then, it’s a pasta-fest
Add a Magnuson supercharger to my 6.1 powered 1972 Plymouth Duster.
I could say a better engine, six speed trans, or a fancy paint job; but the three things that annoys me the most is leaking windows from some rust, crappy old wiring, and oil leaks. Those are the things that ruin the fun in driving the car.
The fact that it exists
On my 84 GMC never air bagging it is the first thing. 5 speed swap, and paint.
Easy answer, new convertible top. Mine has had two small rips since 1991, but every year the get tad bigger…
