BangShift Question Of The Day: What’s Your Personal Definition Of A “Big” Car?

The one thing I get a lot when talking about the Buford T Justice project is people talking about how big the car is. The words tank, boat, barge, etc get thrown around near the beginning of every conversation. Fact is, that car weighs about 3800lbs right now and will be lighter than that by the time we’re done with it. A New Challenger is north of 4,000, a new Camaro is damned close to two tons, and a new Mustang comes in at almost exactly what the Caprice weighs.

Chad and I were in a parking lot a few weeks back when a new Camaro came in and parked next to a C4 Corvette. The Camaro made the Corvette look 7/8th scale. It was totally nuts and made both of us laugh because we remember when the C4 was new and everyone was saying how big it looked. The ‘Vette may as well have been an Alfa Romeo next to the Camaro.

That brings us to today’s question. We want to know what you define as a “big” car. We’re guessing that the definitions will be varied all over the map as this is a question lots of people have an opinion on. Think about it and then sound off below!
