BangShift Question Of The Day: Who Do You Listen To For Advice On Speed Parts?

A major part of hot rodding is sitting around bench racing ideas and talking about what we’re going to do to our cars next. Whether it is suspension and brakes, camshafts and cylinder heads, or intakes and carbs, we’re always debating what is going to be the best for our projects and those of our friends. We talk about stories that we’ve read on websites or in magazines, or things that someone said on the forums, or what we saw them do on our favorite TV shows, and even what the manufacturers have told us over the phone, in ads, or at an event. But which one holds the most water? Who do you listen to when deciding what speed parts to buy? And how do you decide which one is right?

So…Who do you listen to for advice on parts for your hot rod or race car? Friends, websites, magazines, forums, television, manufacturers, or what?

I read everything I can find in Magazines, online etc. until my head is about to explode. Then I make my decision and usually I still mess it up – but it sure is fun.
