(Photo: Sparta (WI) Police Department/Facebook) Between the patrolling, the usual litany of calls, and the occasional pastry break, we have to tip our hats to the law enforcement types. They do a lot, and a lot more than just the exciting stuff you see on COPS or one of those police chase programs. One thing that a lot of the uniformed officers do during work hours is to help keep their town or city clean from garbage left on the roadways. Littering is a pretty big deal still, even after fines were put in place to combat careless individuals. A soda can here, a thrown out fast-food bag there…it might be a small action on their part, but every little bit helps to keep up appearances.
This, however…this was just careless. According to the Sparta, Wisconsin Police Department’s Facebook page:
“FOUND PROPERTY
Today was a great day for a Sunday drive in Sparta. If you took a drive today and got home to find you were missing your motor and transmission, we just might have it. This was found in the area of the Sparta High School. If you want to reclaim it contact the Sparta Police Department and we’ll gladly return it.”
Someone is missing the entire Ford drivetrain that they needed. The question is, what will be the excuse given when they come to claim their prize at the cop shop?
The LS transplant squad claimed another victim last night. Police are looking for any information as to the whereabouts of these automotive perverts as yet another Mustang’s motor was found abandoned after an LS was forcibly transplanted into it.
