(Photo: Phil de Soto) Springtime is here, and we couldn’t be happier. Tracks are open, races are running, shows are bringing in the crowds, and the open highway beckons the more nomadic among us to hitch up the camp trailer for an adventure somewhere other than in the backyard. Life is good for a gearhead in Spring. The sun and warming temperatures have that effect, don’t they? We are willing to bet that you’ve got a list of things you want to accomplish that you’ve been waiting all winter to attack.
We are pretty sure that the owner of this little Toyota has a list of things to attack, as well, and unlike most of the country, we are pretty sure their list involves a snow shovel, gloves, and a lot of well-chosen words that Little Timmy knows but cannot say. Or maybe not…judging from the missing headlight and the fact that it’s parked underneath the trees, maybe this is just a Toyota Pickup emerging from it’s deep winter hibernation, ready for a year of sitting and sinking into the earth. Normally, the “randomly found a car in the yard” jokes involve a redneck punchline, but given the California plates, we are almost sure that isn’t the case here.
We always say that every vehicle has a story that needs to be told. We are pretty sure that this little Toy’s story involves a gruesome ending for a certain groundhog in Pennsylvania. But that’s just us. You readers are great at captioning the photos, so take a shot at this one. Just please, if you could, would you chip away a little at the avalanche of snow?
Global warming my ass!
