This Tunnel Rammed 558 Cubic Inch 1968 Thunderbird Has Us Asking Whether There Is Any Car You Can’t Make Better With A Big Block?

This 1968 Thunderbird is built to the hilt with a 558 cubic inches of tunnel rammed big block, a built C6, 9 inch with 3.90 gears, and a set of hoosier slicks just to drive the message home. It’s also a wrong year T-Bird that is not on the top of the desirable car list. But despite that, this thing is super bad assed and any hot rodder would dig it, and it’s all because it has a big block in it! Oh and did we mention it has twin Holley Dominator carbs on top? Yeah, that’s right, THAT’s how you make a wrong year Thunderbird cool.

But does the big block fix any car? Can you make any car cool by just throwing a big block in it? Or does it take a big block with a tunnel ram and twin dominators? I think that anything with a big block in it is instantly cooler than the same vehicle without a big block.

Here’s a list that we think is pretty obvious.

Yugo – Clearly better with a big block.

Chevrolet Spark – Might actually be cool with a big block.

Every late 70s and early 80’s American car is absolutely better with a big block.

Tell me I’m wrong, or tell me an unpopular car that wouldn’t be cooler with a big block in it.

That is awesome, we need to keep stuff like this going, building cool cars with big huge engines. I like it!!

Needs a page out of Roadkill’s playbook and drop a roots blower on in it along the lines of the Crusher Impala. Other than that, perfect.
