I’m in the process of designing a new house and shop to build and in doing so I’ve come across all kinds of cool car themed pieces of furniture, lighting, and decorations that I think would be ultra rad inside my new place. I think most car guys and gals can appreciate this stuff, and I think most of us guys would be all over it in our houses. Car girls on the other hand usually have a much better grasp of reality than the rest of us, so they tend to be a little more realistic about this stuff. So guys, can you identify the things below that your better half would allow to be part of the decor in your place? Ladies, chime in and tell us if they are right!

The lamp or the bookcase
Turning a old Chevy truck into a actual bed gives new meaning to the word “sleeper”.
However, I like the camshaft lamp and the transmission sink.
The small block Chevy toilet.
My mailbox post is the crank from a Cummins, a v6 Chevy block for a planter in the flower bed,wind chimes from various pistons, pulleys etc. Have the parts to build a bench similar to the one shown. But all this is outside as my house is too small inside for all but the lamps. And the planter was my wife’s idea.

The lamp…but I want the bed
I like all of those ideas. But, wouldn’t put most of them in my house. In the shop or garage, definitely.
Pickup BED. Rumble SEAT. Arr arr arr, Chad, you so FUNNY! Seriously though, why BUILD when commercial property is SO cheap? Many have near-posh, near living office space, easily converted and you are rarely home anyway? And throw the net out over the whole country, not just SoCal, it’s only one more plane ride.

We already have a Dodge bench like the one shown.I know my wife would go for the bed.But I don’t like Chevys much .And I hate Fords.And I sure couldn’t cut up an old Dodge truck just to make a bed.But that is a very cool idea
We agreed on the bathroom/ vanity cabinet tool box set, the camshaft/ air filter lamp and I think she would like the truck/ bed better if it were in black or silver solid colors. Very cool ideas.
