BangShift member BKBridges has set up several garages in the newly formed up section of BS.com. Most of the cars have a common theme that we’ll get to in a minute, but this one in particular caught our attention. Originally bought by his grandparents in 1972, BK got the car in 1990 and the old girl was in kind of sad shape.
As the car spent the duration of its life in NorCal (you know, the part that actually has weather…gasp!) and was driven year ’round, the rust monster had settled in and the car needed lots of help to be saved. Lots of guys would have been deterred at the sight of such rot and corrosion, but BK knew that sometimes a car is more than a car and he did the work necessary to make the cat whole again.
The car is a mild build with upgraded suspension, repopped 15×7 Rally wheels, and a warmed over 318 small block. The real story on the motor is the totally awesome F&B 6-bbl MPFI setup. This piece looks fantastic and by the mere fact that BK seems to have it installed on every one of his rides, we’re saying it works good too.
Enough blabbering, hit the link below to see all the photos and the story of this family heirloom!
