BangShift Says Thank You to our Photo Contributors!

BangShift Says Thank You to our Photo Contributors!

Like usual, we’re running about two weeks behind on business that should have been taken care of around the turn of the new year. Long story short, we wanted to take a minute and publicly thank our world wide network of photo contributors. There are three guys in particular who have really stepped up and we’ll thank them individually below.

Firstly we need to thank all the people who have contributed a gallery or awesome photo sequence this year. Guys like Doug Garrison, Kevin Blalock, and others who tipped us off to awesome stuff, or hooked us up with a shooter who had great material. Without your help, we’d not be nearly as diverse and cool with our coverage as we are.

Setting themselves apart are three dudes spread clear across the country. Charles Wickam is our man on the scene in Texas, Joe Grippo owns the Pennsylvania and NJ areas, and Scott Liggett is our intrepid LA-based correspondent. All three of them have been huge in taking you, our readers to events, shows, and races you’d otherwise never see.

Please scroll down to read a little more about each of them.

Joe Grippo:

Joe Grippo's Mustang

Joe is a special kind of lunatic. That’s his mustang racer above. When Joe is at the strip racing, he hauls ass around the place between rounds to grab photos (and they’re great). His wheelstanding Mustang is a killer piece and we’re beyond thankful that Joe allows us to share his photos with you, the BangShift readership. He’s provided awesome car show coverage and even vintage road racing action as well. Joe, you rule. THANK YOU.

Charles Wickam:

Charles Wickam has been doing an amazing job covering all the action in and around his home state of Texas. His car show coverage has always been killer. He’s taken us dirt track racing, vintage drag racing, and has gained access to indoor car shows that few ever do. Charles was part of a couple BangShift firsts in 2010. He was the first guy to cover an ADRL race with a BangShift press pass and he hauled up to Bowling Green, Kentucky to help Chad and I cover the Holley National Hot Rod Reunion. Shockingly, after a weekend with Chad and I, he didn’t stop sending great photos.

Scott Liggett:

Scott Liggett is our man in LA. With Chad in Southern California, you may be wondering why we need anyone else down that way. The simple fact is that there is always so much going on, one guy has no shot in hell at keeping up. Both Chad and I couldn’t be more impressed with the improvements Scott has made this year with his photo skills and writing. He’s plugged into the magazine guys and some of the coolest shops in the greater LA area and his contributions have all been great. He is an epic photo caption-er, and we look forward to seeing his stuff in 2011 as well.

Thanks to all who have helped BangShift.com continue to grow at a bad ass clip! Want to contribute? Send an e-mail to [email protected] and we’ll talk!
