SATURDAY’S ACTION HAS BEEN SUSPENDED DUE TO RAIN, BUT WE WILL BE LIVE AGAIN SUNDAY MORNING AT 10AM. Pro Mods, Outlaw 10.5, and Outlaw Doorslammers will be running first thing for their final round of qualifying. Remember folks, it is $10 per carload to park and attend this race. Tonight, BangShift.com will provide FREE live streaming coverage of the vaunted Throwdown in T-Town, one of the great outlaw doorslammer drag races in the country. This event will feature everything from Pro Mods (both outlaw and legal), mountain motor pro stocks, Outlaw 10.5 cars, hot street, and even crazy motorcycles. Chad will be there running the camera and providing the color commentary only he and his beard can provide.
As with all of our other FREE live streaming coverage, we’ll be there when the event begins on Friday night for round one qualifying and we won’t leave until it is all done and the dust settles on Saturday night. The event will be held at Tulsa Raceway Park, a fine facility that recently served as the starting and ending point for Hot Rod Magazine Drag Week. Todd Martin, one of the owners of the track is a noted ADRL racer and the dude who dreamed this event up several years ago. Since those humble beginnings, it has become one of the premier door slammer showdowns in the country.
This event will be contested on an 1/8 mile format and since it happens the weekend before the ADRL’s Finals in Dallas, which is a few hundred miles south of Tulsa, some of the wildest cars in the nation will be lined up at the gate on Friday morning. We can’t wait to see the screw blowers taking on turbos and nitrous machines, all the small tire 10.5 action, and the mixed insanity of the vaguely named on purpose “outlaw door slammer” category.
