After a buddy of ours told us that there was a barn full of “Fairlanes, and Cadillacs, and a Vette, and all kinds of stuff”, we just had to check it out since we were somewhat close. Of course, I was excited, but also a little nervous since we were driving the $200 Hauler and their wasn’t much in the way of “hidden” parking. The description given to me was that it was behind an abandoned house, and when I got there yesterday with the sun trying to set I was thinking “I’m totally going to get shot trying to check this out!” That thought was soon replace by “Holy $#*! I see a Cadillac roof!” at which point all remaining good sense went out the window. So after walking through a field, with my head spinning around like an owl, waiting for the crack of a shotgun, and seriously questioning the efficacy of flip flops for this adventure, I finally got to the edge of the barn. I could see in and there was some cool looking stuff, but there was also trash and crap piled everywhere I wanted to walk. After getting into the barn, which is undoubtedly questionably legal at best, we fell in love with Cadillacs, Rancheros, an Econoline Van/Truck, a Flat Fender Jeep, Camaros, and more. And then we realized there was a second barn. More of the same stuff. And a motorhome we have to have! It was epic….. Not COPO Camaros stashed in a barn epic, but still epic.
We’re going to do some more investigation as to who owns the property and cars, which is why we are not telling you where it is yet, but we will show you pictures from inside. There are a few more cars we did not shoot because access was questionable given the aforementioned foot wear, but there is also a ton of oil cans, random parts, and just cool “stuff” laying all over the place. There is also a lot of random trash, but we’re okay with that in the pursuit of cool old iron.
GOOD LORD!!!! I’d take them all home!
You guys suck donkey b@%%s! I’m puke green with envy!
I’d take the flat fendered jeep, econoline pickup, and vette for starters!
Nice !!! Flip-flops = PRICELESS !!
Yeah you have to find out the back story to that place!
i say turn the old mg(?) into a gasser—-but i’m willing to bet when you find the owner, that,”not for sale–i’m gonna restore ’em someday”
My Dad had an Econoline Truck when I was a kid!
Reminds me of the exploring I did on a farm in northern cali a couple years ago. I had the owners tenant show me around. Oh yeah, I had actual shoes on in the black infested barns.
I count at least 5 California plates from the black/gold (up to 1969), blue/gold (1969-1980) and white/blue (1982-up). So those might be in salvageable shape. The Pontiac Bonneville wagon would be fun to rebuild.
