I am very happy to announce that Cole Coonce will be joining on with BangShift.com as a monthly columnist, penning a column entitled, “Lid, Can, and Libel”. No topic is off limits and if you are familiar with Cole’s work, you know that he is as capable of tackling topics both mechanical and social with equal skill. Coonce is a provokateur and with his first column set to run tomorrow, we’re starting this thing off with a piece that will surely stir some conversation.
Now an admission. When the oppotunity came about to invite another voice into the BangShift chorus, my first call went to Cole, and with good reason. It was Nitronic Research, his groundbreaking drag race website of the 1990s and early 2000s that got me my first official press pass as a college student and later became the place that my first drag racing work was published. It was a story about the death of the nitrous Pro Mod. Yeah, I was a visionary back then too.
Tune in tomorrow for the first “Lid Can and Libel” column here on BangShift.com from our friend, and now collegue Cole Coonce.
