We’ve been hearing some good stuff about the Powercruise event that went down a couple weeks ago at Brainerd Raceway in Minnesota. There was arm drop drag racing, burnouts galore, drifting, and all different types of automotive tomfoolery going on. In checking out videos from the event we found this gem of a moving picture that shows a flat fender Willys Jeep pulling monster high speed wheelies!
We all knew or know someone who claims that their buddy’s Jeep or lifted truck can pull the front wheels because, “the thing is geared so low”. It is a virtual certainty that those stories are total whoppers, unless the dude is friends with the man driving the Jeep in the video below.
The coolest thing about this? The driver has obviously done enough wheelies to know the proper technique. Like the NBA slam dunk contest, he gives the front end a quick bounce before hammering the skinny pedal.
We want to go for a ride!!!

A supercharger, short wheel-base, and a clutch pedal makes a 2002 Wrangler wheelie. Not as good as this one, but a wheelie nonetheless.
The ’69 RoadRunner winning the burnout contest made this rule. Hey, GUP: Come down to the Southwest!!
hey Remy-Z help me get to the Southwest and Powercruise will be there….Gup
