Since everything the Beatles touched turned to gold, the tune “Drive My Car” was an instant hit. According to Paul McCartney, “Drive My Car” was code for sex back in the early days of blues music, but in his version it really is about driving a car. Either way is cool with us. Of course this songs title is also one of the most argued subjects in hot rodding. Letting someone else drive your car is a real tough pill to swallow for a lot of guys. Me included. And yet for others it doesn’t bother them at all.
Anyway, the Beatles haven’t been on BangShift’s Daily Tune Up yet, so we though Drive My Car would be a fitting introduction for the boys.
