I am a 32 (soon to be 33) year old Irish guy from Boston but I really love old R&B music and early rock and roll. This song combines all that great sound with awesome lyrics, some automotive humor, and a last line that you need to stick around for. It took me a while to find out what year this song was released in, but best I can tell it was 1955. If I am wrong, feel free to correct me in the comment section down below.

Most of us have probably bitten off a little more than we could chew with regards to a car at least once in our lives, mostly when we were kids. In this song, it is a financial mistake that leaves the singer down in the dumps about the fact he has a bitchin’ new car that he can’t even really afford to put gas into. I don’t know anything about Big Boy Groves or anything they put out before or after this, but as far as I am concerned, this is their best tune.
