Here’s a fitting one to round out the BangShift blog week with as both Chad and I have been on planes heading to different places since you last read the blog yesterday. Chad winged off to Cordova, Illinois to setup and prepare for the live broadcast of the ADRL event this weekend that’ll be happening right here on BangShift.com. I headed to Nashville, Tennessee to announce the autocross at the Goodguys Nashville Nationals. If you are around either event, come by and say hello! If you are neat Chad, throw rotten tomatoes or banana peels at him up on the lift. He loves dodging stuff, trust me on that. This is a routine we’ll be playing out a bunch this summer. We’re going to publish our schedules next week so if you are a BangShifter in an area we’ll be at we can hook up and say hello!
This is a song everyone knows and is played frequently on classic rock radio stations. It is Miller’s ode to being constantly on tour and winging around the world to play shows. Starting in 1973 with the famous song, The Joker the Steve Miller band rose to become on the middle 1970s biggest acts. The band’s greatest hits album sold some 13-million copies and as mentioned above, you don’t go more than a couple hours listening to classic rock radio without hearing a Miller jam. He’s still touring and playing decent sized venues, so apparently the whole jet airliner situation doesn’t bother him or his bad all that much!
