BangShift Daily Tune Up: “Magic Bus” By The Who (1968)

Check this one out. As a kid, I grew up listening to The Who, The Beach Boys, and The Rolling Stones. Those were my Dad’s favorites. In fact, I saw each of them in concert at least once before I was 13. The Who was always the one that I didn’t get as much. I mean I loved songs like “Pinball Wizard” and “My Generation”, but there was still always something I was missing. Now I listen to these songs and think WOW! there is so much more there than I ever thought.

“Magic Bus” is one that seems so straight forward in a lot of ways and yet reinforces the fact that all these dudes in the ’60s did a LOT of drugs. In fact, I don’t know how they sang so clearly. Weird. Anyway, it’s the Who song with the cool bus, so it’s our BangShift Daily Tune Up today. Click the play button, sway, and sing along. It’s a trip.
