The Ventures are the largest selling instrumental group of all time. According to most sources, since the early 1960s the group has moved something like 100-million albums. The song that really launched them into the big time was this tune called, Walk Don’t Run. I have been jamming to it in cars since I got my drivers license others for more than 50 years! It rules for being both one of the first surf style songs to really climb the charts but also because it is virtually timeless. If you are in a cool hot rod, brand new Corvette, old truck, or a damned tank, you instantly start feeling cooler when this one comes on the radio. With one arm out the window and a good exhaust note burbling behind you, it is pretty much zen.
Watch these guys play. The song seems relatively simple but everyone is playing their asses off the whole time. Great musicianship!

Charles Bronson isn’t a very animated guitarist. But the rest of the Bee Gees look like they need a nap.
Is that Moe on the drums?
