BangShift Tune-Up: “45” by The Gaslight Anthem (2012)

BangShift Tune-Up: “45” by The Gaslight Anthem (2012)

Just because it’s cold out doesn’t mean that it’s a time to slow down and retreat into hibernation. If anything, now is the time to double down and prepare for the fun you want to have in the spring and summer of next year, so draw up your plans, start getting the workspace ready, and wire up the speakers if you haven’t…no good shop goes without music. But what do you play? What song inspires you? That’s all up to you…we’re just saying get on it.

The Gaslight Anthem is one of those bands whose sound catches you off-guard the first time you hear them. A mix of East Coast punk and Springsteen, among other influences, solid drumwork,  and Brian Fallon’s absolutely stout vocals combine to create songs that leave you wanting to find some leaf-lined backroad to blast down one more time before you call it a year.

I have to agree with you on this band.
    Radio friendly and great vocals.
Im kind of a music snob which is odd for a farmer from Missouri and all but this song has everything to make it good
