RideTech’s selling their awesome 1968 ‘Velocity’ Camaro at the Barrett Jackson auction this Saturday night. The car has been seen in dozens of media outlets, car shows, specialty events, and competitions all across the country. Equipped with a 650hp LS2 and a complete Street Challenge air suspension kit from Rid Tech, this beast will shift your organs front, back, and side to side.
When the car was built, Brett and the boys did it right. All the components are top shelf and that attention to quality and detail have shone through, as this car could go to and win virtually any “handling” type competition out there today, especially one featuring upgraded classic American cars. Simply put, there are few street cars in America, or the world that are as capable of doing what they do better than Velocity. We’ve ridden shotgun with Brett through an autocross course and frankly, it defies the known laws of physics.
When the car was built, comfort and interior quality were certainly not left our of the mix. The inside of the car is as upscale as anything you’d find in a modern sport/luxury machine. A custom RacePak IQ3 dashboard, custom made Cerullo seats, a bad ass Kicker Stereo, Vintage Air A/C, and Detroit Speed’s 7-speed wiper system, are all present and accounted for.
The paint is a custom color developed by Hot Hues. It carries the name Velocity Orange appropriately. The stripes on the car are not paint, ad many people believe, they are actually bare metal, which blows people away. Precision Coachworks was responsible for that and all the bodywork, which was actually limited due to the base car being so clean.
We could go on and on, but you can hit the links below, and watch the video to see what this mother is really capable of and how you can own one of the coolest Camaros on the planet!
