I have friends who are ate up with big rigs. I mean that is their jam! But even if you aren’t one of those big rig freaks, you have to love them! Growing up and seeing these beasts going up and down the highway, looking cool, with personality, and giving honks to kids and chicks and anyone else on the road that would just give them the sign. And with 1970’s movies like Smokey and the Bandit, Convoy, and Every Which Way But Loose there were millions of people that fell in love with big rigs and the characters who drove them.
Smokey and the Bandit isn’t the only movie to feature big rigs, as we’ve already said, but it certainly is one of the most famous. There is an entire car culture that revolves around that movie and the vehicles featured in it. And while the Bandit’s Trans Am is certainly the most famous, it wouldn’t have been anything without the Snowman’s W900A that was hauling all the beer. In the video below we get a good look at a tribute to Snowman’s truck with a cool feature video done by the guys at DeBoss Garage.
This is awesome and makes me want to sit at home and watch Smokey and the Bandit again!
