Car Feature: GNRS-Winning 1955 Chevy Show Car

Steve and Lisa Caspary’s 1955 Chevy is a full-on, serious show car. So serious in fact, that the shoebox took first place in its category at the Grand National Roadster Show, one of the premier judged car shows in the world for hot rods and customs.

There are dozens of detail touches, tweaks, and alterations made to this car and in the greatest compliment we can give, you don’t overtly notice any. That’s the mark of incredible craftsmanship and good thinking.

Steve and Lisa provided us with a mountain of build photos so the BangShift.com photo gallery documents the change of this car from that of a plain-Jane 1955 Chevy into a show stopper. It was a long process and a labor of love for Steve and Lisa. The best part is that they have seen actual rewards for their hard work and dedication to the project. Much of the work was done at home, while the paint and body was handled by Renteria Bros. in Morgan Hill, California.
