Car Feature Video: The Purple Kruzer | Bello Build

We love seeing car projects going together in videos on YouTube, but man there are some times that we just love seeing them being driven. One of our favorites to watch build and enjoy them is Mike Bello because this dude is fun, exudes SoCal traditional and Chicano styles, and is funny as hell. In this video feature he’s taking his bad ass 1953 Chevy Bel Air for a ride down the coast, walks us around the mods, and shows us just how bad ass a driver hot rod can look. This one is an awesome eye dropping car, but it isn’t a full on “show car” like some you’ll find. He drives this car and it was built to drive and look cool going down the road.

Like all great hot rods, this one puts a big smile on Bello’s face and that is all that matters. Locochon!

Video Description:

Pulling one of Mike’s original kustoms out of the garage for a cruise down the San Diego coastline at Sunset Cliffs. This 1953 Chevy Bel Air has a ton of body modifications, starting with the extra teeth in the original grill, the 1956 Chrysler Imperial headlights, a 4″ chop, extended quarter windows and a 1956 Packard rear end. The interior is draped in white upholstery with purple piping, 1955 Mercedes bucket seats to sit on and an original dash and steering wheel. Finally, the car sits channeled 2″, on full air ride suspension to lay out completely on the ground while sitting on OG steelies with 1956 Chrysler Imperial hub caps.
