Ok, what were you all on in the 1960s? This sales promo for the 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS-396 was campier than an episode of Batman where Adam West starts dancing. We’re talking glossed-over James Bond references, dragstrip tests that not only include the Ford Fairlane GT being driven by a wound-up grandmother, but a Pontiac GTO being driven by a brick house of a man. Apparently “Dr. Yes” has a fiendish plan that involves a drag race, panic stopping challenge, a half-mile sprint, and a go-go dancer who is on another planet entirely, it seems.
