Take a stroked 427 breathing through dual quads on a tunnel ram, hook it to an automatic trans, and jam it into a 1970 Chevelle that has had 27 inches whacked out of the wheelbase and a Pro Street-style tub job out back. Would you be willing to breathe at the go pedal, or would you be worried about the Chevy performing a swift backflip and winding up on the roof? We can’t say for certain what would happen if you were to suddenly jab the gas pedal, but we can safely say that this is the shortest wheelbase Chevelle we have ever seen.
This Super Sport was cut up and shortened sometime in the early 1990s and in addition to the shortening, received a square tube frame, narrowed Ford 9″ rear and a four-link suspension. It’s had a recent go-over, receiving the new stroker motor, trans, an interior overhaul, and fresh tires.
The owner is also up front about the flaws as well. There’s no side windows, because they haven’t been cut yet, the door and trunk weatherstripping isn’t installed, and the paint isn’t “show quality”…though it is far from rough. A new power brake booster and vacuum tank are included in the sale and are chrome, which seems to be the theme of the engine bay.
We are all for weird here at BangShift, but shorty cars tend to be the one thing we all agree aren’t our thing. But maybe it’s yours? It is for sale on eBay if you’re interested. And be sure to send the footage of what happens when you go full throttle to us.

I resent the fact he blames California for this.
Why?
Somebody destroyed a perfectly good car to create that freak show. They had more money than brains.
I’m thinking it started life as a 4 door so no great loss.
Wasn’t there a yellow one just like this featured in Car Craft or PHR in the late 80’s?
Someone actually bidded $11K for the car and reserve still not met!
Definitely more money than brains.
what a waste, 4 door or not. I’d rather a 4 door than this stupidity any day.
Not my cup of tea but you have to admit they did a good job
The chop job looks nice and clean. Lines appear to be straight, and there is quality equipment in the car.
Regardless of the fact that I think it’s not good looking, it’s somebody’s toy. Shorty’s were popular for a while a long time back, so I wouldn’t necessarily say that whoever built it was a fool, or had more money than sense. It’ just definitely different.
