Is it weird for me to say that the B-body Impala SS is starting to become the forgotten performance car of the 1990s? I know that 260 horsepower isn’t squat anymore, but in 1994 it was a reason to celebrate, and they are still damn looking cars…a testament to what can happen when a good designer is brought in to fix a bad design. Seriously…look at a 1992 Caprice and tell me that the 1994-96 Impala isn’t a huge improvement, especially from the rear doors back. If you knew how to tweak the engine, you’d easily have a 400 horsepower barge that was comfortable to drive and handled pretty well with all of the cop suspension goodies attached. You also had a massive engine bay in case you wanted to go all the way to ludicrous speed, like the owner of this Impala did. Twin turbos, a small tire, and a stout 4.81 in the eighth with a stock dashboard still in the car? If this thing is street legal, and you didn’t take your kids to school in it at least once, you are failing!

Now you’re talking my language! That car is large and in charge! Now if I can only get myself motivated to work on my 9C1!

  2. MO'PAR TO YA!

    Such a great vehicle.
Unfortunately,my calculations for global warming, according to the recent Paris Talks, indicate an overloaded carbon footprint.
    This vehicle must be crushed.

This vehicle must be crushed ON.
It’s beautiful, and I have a list of all the gas stations within 3 states that don’t carry E85-just the good stuff!
