Classic YouTube: Testing Out BigFoot Fastrax In 1989…Make Way For The Tank!

Bob Chandler has had many variations of the BigFoot monster truck built over the years. From the first one to BigFoot 5 and it’s ten-foot-tall tires to the current fleet of race trucks that make appearances around the world, Bigfoot is the most well-known name in the world when it comes to monster trucks. But not every BigFoot was a truck. Bigfoot Fastrax started life as a M48 Patton tank,  and was turned into a van-bodied monster packing two 460 Ford V8s and twin automatic transmissions. Most people remember Fastrax as an Aerostar-bodied machine, but this footage, straight from the BigFoot team themselves, shows it bodied as an Econoline with a lift body and the scoops for the twin 460s peeking out of the roof. In such company as Equalizer and the Virginia Beach Beast, Fastrax just added to the fun of the monster truck scene…nothing says happiness like a flying tank!
