Ken Block, Pikes Peak, And The Hoonicorn V2: No Wonder Block Is Scared Of The Car!

Ken Block, Pikes Peak, And The Hoonicorn V2: No Wonder Block Is Scared Of The Car!

When we first learned about Ken Block’s new, 1,400 horsepower on methanol, twin-turbocharged refresh of his already monster all-wheel-drive Mustang known as the “Hoonicorn”, the one item that stood above all others is that Block himself openly admitted that the car scared the ever-loving hell out of him. Keep in mind, folks: we’ve seen him run rallycross with his car on fire for as long as he could tolerate the flames inside of the cabin, and he has a wall in his office dedicated to the remains of what he has killed over the years. Yet, he’s scared of the car. How do you face and overcome that fear when driving like a maniac is how you earn a good living? Easy: take the world’s most psychotic Mustang out to Pikes Peak in Colorado! This teaser recently dropped, and we can’t wait to see the whole thing…if we’re lucky, we will have in-car audio as Block runs up the mountain. You know that if he is able to talk at all while wrestling one pissed-off vehicle, the commentary will be epic.

Ken Block should put bodykits for Ford Mustangs into production so every one can have a car that looks as mean as Hoonicorn. While they might not have the go I’m sure they’ll have the show and it would be one of the best ways to improve the look of the notchback which I think has always been overlooked compared with its fastback and convertible cousins.

Yes, of course it a very cool car & a very cool video – but I’d like to see what fast time would be if he drove it on a serious lap, without the smoke show

What ever happened to the “Climb To The Clouds” on Mount Washington??? I’ve seen a few videos and I think it would be well worth the trip to New Hampshire.
