Rough Start: Diving Off Of The Deep End With A Road Race Ready Ford Fairmont

Rough Start: Diving Off Of The Deep End With A Road Race Ready Ford Fairmont

Ever come across a Craigslist ad that has some jacked up photos that still intrigue you? Yeah…I wasn’t looking for anything too special when I plugged “Ford Fairmont” into my all-Craigslist search engine, but this gem sure enough came right out. The photos might be sketchy but I would happily go check this car out with cash in hand, just in case if I could. You see, some people just want everything all at once right now. I’m one of those people and I want to go straight from the deal to the DMV for new tags, then off on an adventure that involves a lot of loud V8.

The ad will tell you everything you need to know: “Ford Fairmont Futura V8 5-speed manual transmission, roll bar. This is a road course race car but does have a title. It could be converted to circle track or put back to use as a street car. The car has been featured in two magazines. The engine makes about 370 HP and has no miles on it. The car got a fresh engine paint and tires before storage.” Oh, yes. Yes, please. That is a tasty, tasty combination and if this car doesn’t go to a worthy BangShifter, it will be a loss.

Talk about owning something unique! That would make a great autox/road race/drag car! Nice shape and damn good price!

Man, that’s cool! No room tho, got a ’78 Fairmont, an ’84 Foxbody LTD, and a Foxbody Marquis taking up all my storage space.
