Rough Start: You’re A Seat Fitting Away From A Turnkey SCCA American Sedan-Prepared Mustang

Rough Start: You’re A Seat Fitting Away From A Turnkey SCCA American Sedan-Prepared Mustang

What sounds more awesome than buying your very own turnkey race car? No building, no BS…just make sure the car fits your frame and go racing? That sounds good to us, so in the spirit of the Rough Start category, I went hunting for an already-prepared track weapon. For this, I ditched the budget limit, instead opting to find the best bang-for-the-buck deal that I could. There are plenty of awesome rides on eBay right now that would fit the car bill, including a GT-1 fourth-gen Camaro and a Trans Am-style late model Challenger that looked absolutely deadly, but both of those cars were pushing $70,000…not exactly a budget-wise decision, regardless of how cool owning either one would be. However, a little scrolling later turned up this gem, a 1994 Mustang body-in-white set up for SCCA’s American Sedan class that’s currently being offered for $10,000.

This is the best way to get into or move up into road racing, as compared to building one from scratch.  To duplicate this car is over $50,000.
I also have a 28 foot enclosed trailer for sale for $9000 if needed

Do we think that you’ll be able to walk away with the car for ten grand? Nope. But do we think that you could get one hell of a deal on this entire package? Absolutely. All of the paperwork is there, the car has a background that can be traced, and all you need to get going is a seat bolted in. And it’s not like the SN95 Mustangs are rare, so if you injure this one, just pick up a cheap V6 car for pennies on the dollar for repair parts! You can even get the car trailer if you want…what’s not to like?
