This Ford Ranger looks like a hell of a lot of fun as it approaches the starting line at the mud drags. A V8 under the hood issuing out a warning through the pipes that it means business, a lift that is purposeful, and the roll cage because it is a serious piece of machinery. Sitting in the mud, waiting to hit the throttle and send terra not-so-firma flying high into the air, the driver had to be containing a mix of excitement and nervousness. He would have stayed on the “nervous” side of things had he’d been aware of what was about to go down at the end of the run. At the end of a rather impressive run, the center section of the wheel broke, allowing most of the wheel and the tire to separate. By the time the Ranger was stopped and the driver had extracted himself out of the truck, the tire was still on the run, with freedom in it’s sights!
