Meet The Hellcat Durango. Because Your Kids Don’t Scream Loud Enough As It Is…

“Hellcat all the things!” That meme-tastic quote might be a bit of a punchline, but it’s not too far from the truth at Dodge, either. Charger, Challenger, and a Jeep are all sold with the psychotic supercharged mill, and rumors of a Hellcat-motivated Ram still fly like nothing else. But that does leave a couple of vehicles out in the cold. There’s no Hellcat Grand Caravan, for example, and one of the engines is about as big as the Dart was. Then there’s the Durango. It’s a platform-mate to the Jeep Grand Cherokee, which means that the 6.2L mill should fit, and it’s all-wheel-drive, so if you were to somehow locate a Trackhawk that maybe got damaged in shipping, then you could cobble together your own Dodge-branded people mover. That’s exactly what Plum Floored Creations in Avondale, Arizona has done to this black Durango. Other than using a 2.9L Whipple blower instead of the 2.3L unit that came stock (to keep the ECU happy), it’s all Hellcat, backed up by an ATS-built automatic that should live behind the 698 horsepower this thing is laying at the crank. Or, for wheel horsepower, that’s 570. Or, in the realm of your kid’s scare factor…well…invest in Scotch-Gard.
