Testing Video: The “Flirtin’ With Disaster” Diesel Drag Dodge Ram Trying Out A New Powerplant

Testing Video: The “Flirtin’ With Disaster” Diesel Drag Dodge Ram Trying Out A New Powerplant

Diesels should not rev to the mid-5,000 RPM range. It just doesn’t seem right, does it? Well, listen and believe, because “Flirtin’ With Disaster”, the Royalty family’s Dodge Ram drag truck, is one sincerely bad mother on the track. We aren’t going to spoil any of the details of the build at all – you’ll get all of it in the video – but the results speak for themselves even as the Cummins six pops while starting the boost-building sequence in the water box. The launch is violence, until the truck threatens to take control away from driver Steve Royalty, it is moving with all the power and intention of a charging rhino. It’s big, it’s loud and if you make one mistake, things will hurt later.

Nice idea and all but what a mess inside, to much bullshit to do to get it to move, put an air shifter in it for one!
