This Monster Jeep Grand Cherokee Celebrates A Win In Virginia By Launching It’s Hood!

Those victory celebrations can sometimes be more painful than initially perceived. Ask any NFL player that has had to pay back a five-digit fine to the league for having a little fun after scoring a touchdown, or you could ask the owner of this Demon Performance-tuned Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 what repairing the hood will cost after this run at Virginia Motorsports Park over the weekend at the Demon Performance Modern Street Hemi Shootout race. Running against Patrick Zabst’s Charger Daytona, the GC spools up, hooks and freaking books it to the tune of 10.88 at 140 mph…and then, just to put the cherry on top, the hood calls it a day and leaves the Jeep altogether before fluttering down to the track’s surface like a leaf. The idea is to blow the doors off of the other guys, but hey…if you’ve managed to aerodynamically remove body parts, I guess that’s validation of the power your engine is making, right?
