So you wanna bag on K-cars, do you? The Spirit R/T and the Daytona IROC R/T just weren’t enough for you? Too little power? Wrong wheel drive? Ok, I’ll take care of that: how about the decent-looking, plenty aerodynamic Chrysler LeBaron coupe set up for drag racing? Twin turbos poke out of the hood and force-feeds the B1-equipped 528ci Keith Black bullet under that hood. Set up for Top Sportsman, the LeBaron was fully engineered and built by Quebec’s own Ghislain Beaulieu, a man who has been racing since Mopars since 1970. In stock form the LeBaron is a touch underwhelming but in full-on race mode? That front end suddenly takes on an intimidating shape, especially with the hidden headlights. Sure, it’s an all-out race car, but it’s one that will give plenty of people fits and is a nice change from the usual roster of Camaros and late-model bodies. This run is from Sanair in 2009 and shows just what Chrysler’s in-the-shad0ws coupe can be.

How about Charles Schafer’s Chrysler LeBaron that he ran the Silver State Classic with and set an average of 207mph with?
