Quick Feature: One Rare 1984 Mustang GT Turbo Droptop From Ford Festival 2022

I’m a sucker for a good four-eye Fox Body Mustang, and this one here really speaks to me because I love the 2.3L Turbo. I’m a Chevrolet guy to the core, so my normal is to want every Fox to have an LS in it, but in this case, I wouldn’t change a thing. Ever since meeting my friends the Hubers on Drag Week 15 years ago, I’ve had a love for this little engine that can’t be explained unless you have seen what they are capable of when a giant turbo is bolted onto them.

These are stout little engines and will last forever while making real power. And while this one here doesn’t make this Mustang a rocket ship, it still makes it cool and is something that you aren’t going to see in many places. We dig it. I think you will too.

Video Description:

Everybody knows what the 5.0 is all about, but in the early 1980s the true way to a fast Fox was actually the 2.3L turbocharged four-cylinder. Dan Clark’s 1984 GT Turbo convertible is a rare survivor of a breed of Mustang that you don’t see a lot of anymore in any condition.
