Our man Doug Garrison ventured out of his native Pennsylvania to the southern climes of Charlotte to take in the Goodguys Rod and Custom show at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The sprawling facility is the perfect location for the Goodguys event. Chad was there announcing the autocross and Doug reports that he engaged the bearded one in conversation a couple of times. Normally people do it once and leave, so it tells us that Doug is a patient man with poor hearing. We kid because we love.
Oh yeah, the gallery. Doug shot a bunch of photos at the show itself, but he also dragged his camera gear with him to the open house at BangShift sponsor Detroit Speed and Engineering. Stacy and Kyle Tucker, the owners of Detroit Speed throw the doors open to their immaculate shop and people are allowed to roam their build area, see where some of the finest suspension pieces in the world are made and most importantly they are given up close and personal access to the cars that the company has built and competes in autocross and open track events with all over the country. They love the SPEED part of the company name, no doubt about it!
