We love Formula Offroad racing here. It’s one of the most ballistically insane forms of off-road motorsports we’ve ever seen…vehicles with monster engines, huge paddle tires and drivers that have stones of pure titanium fly up the sides of mountains and hydroplane over water. These guys don’t defy the laws of physics, they defile them with a sledgehammer. But when you play big, you stand to lose big, and that’s what we have here. Taken at a hill climb section in Skien, Norway, we see our competitors lined up against something less a hill and more like a sandy cliff face. Does that stop them? Hell no, but the second the run goes less-than-perfectly, before the driver can mutter “Perkele…”, the sounds of a rig bouncing down the cliff face are heard. These aren’t gentle little rollovers, and there aren’t any trees to catch the rigs as they tumble. Hold on tight!
